Learn French : Les adjectifs possessifs
The use of words : my, our, yours and his are used to show ownership. It called Possessive adjectives in English and L'adjectif Possessif in French. Possessive adjectives are used to show possession or ownership of something. Many cases of ownership are shown with possessive nouns (Wati's, children's). In this tutorial, the possessive adjectives are not nouns and are not formed by adding an apostrophe + s.

ton et ta
- Je vois ton frère là-bas. (I see your brother over there).
- Ta soeur est tellement belle. (Your sister is so beautiful)
- Est-ce que je peux t'emprunter ton stylo ?. (Can I borrow your pen ?)
- Où achètes-tu ta montre ?. (Where do you buy your watch ?).
son et sa
- C'est son téléphone portable. (It's his cell phone).
- Son mari travaille chez Microsoft. (Her husband works at Microsoft).
- Sa femme est en train de faire la vaisselle. (His wife is washing the dishes).
notre
- C'est l'album photo de notre bébé. (This is the photo album of our baby).
- Notre maison est située au centre ville de Palembang. (Our house is in the central city of Palembang).
- Tu as déjà vu la photo de notre famille ? (Do you have seen the photo of our family ?).
votre
- J'ai déjà reçu votre courrier électronique. (I have received your email).
- Votre travail est incroyable. (Your job is incredible).
- Quelle est votre équipe de football favorite ?. (What is your favorite football team ?).
leur
- Le prix de leur voiture (féminin) sont plus d'un milliard de rupiah. (The price of their cars are more than one billion rupiah).
- Leur discussion (masculin) a porté essentiellement sur le réchauffement de la planète. (Their discussion focused on global warming).

- Mes amis (masculin) parlent bien français. (My friends speak good French).
- J'apprends la programmation en Java dans le cadre de mes études (féminin). (I learn Java programming as part of my studies).

- Le succès est le résultat de tes efforts (masculin) (The Success is the result of your efforts).
- Tes réussites sont vraiment brilliant (féminin). (Your successes are really brilliant )

- Il a perdu ses clés (féminin). (He lost his keys).

nos
- Nos résultats (masculin) en anglais sont satisfaisants. (Our results in english subject are satisfactory).

- Vos arguments (masculin) ne sont pas convaincants. (Your arguments are not convincing).
- Vos informations (féminin) sont très importants. (Your information are very important).
